Information we collect
When you create a teacher account, we collect your name, email, phone number, account credentials, teaching experience, qualifications, subjects, location and profile details. You can upload a headshot and supporting credentials for review. We record the policy version and time when you accept this notice.
Your public profile
Your name, headshot, district, teaching subjects, qualifications, experience, professional summary, services and verification status may appear in the directory. A profile without a headshot or recorded acceptance of this policy is not listed. Your phone number, WhatsApp number, email, exact location, supporting credentials and internal admin notes are not included in public profiles or directory API responses. Do not put private contact details in your public summary or other public text fields.
How we use your information
Uplerna uses your details to manage your account, review credentials, maintain your professional profile, respond to support requests and coordinate teaching enquiries. Families and institutions contact Uplerna to arrange an introduction. Accepting this policy does not give permission to display your private contact details publicly.
Enquiries
When you submit an enquiry, we store your name, email address, phone number, message, relevant teacher or opportunity reference, and your consent. Uplerna administrators use this information to follow up and keep internal notes about the request. Enquiries are not published or shared automatically with teachers.
Access and storage
Account and profile records are stored in our database. Uplerna administrators can access information needed to operate the service, including contact details and verification documents. Service providers supporting hosting and email may process information needed to deliver those services. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and activity
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We record profile views and enquiry clicks to understand use of the platform; activity records can include browser information and a hashed network address. These records are not displayed in teacher profiles.
Corrections, withdrawal and deletion
You can edit your profile from your account. Contact us to request a copy or correction of your information, withdraw permission to publish your profile, or request account deletion. We will review the request, verify account ownership and explain any records that must be retained, such as payment records.
